As an organization, we make donations of up to $1,000 at a time for families in need. We often think, what can that $1,000 donation actually do; what tangible change can it have on women and families battling a breast cancer diagnosis.
A donation of $1,000 to a family in need can cover 8 nights in a hotel room in downtown Chapel Hill, less than 10 minutes away from the University of North Carolina Medical Center, one of the leading hospitals in the state.
A donation of $1,000 can cover 60 hours of childcare for a mother in treatment.
A donation of $1,000 can cover 45 trips (315 miles) from our home base in Wilmington, NC to UNC Hospitals in Chapel Hill, NC and back again.
